The Furry Academy has the special skills to help those interested in Therapy, work with their dog.

Therapy Dogs need a minimum training of Group Classes with The Furry Academy to the Intermediate Level to develop the obedience skills needed for Therapy work. Currently, The Furry Academy offers lecture appointments with Therapy Dog group meetings to continue partnership training with those teams who have already completed testing and are actively working in the program.

Classes for your potential Therapy Dog, or your current one, may be done as private lessons, or join up with any group class at your level of training.

CGC Testing can also be done by the trainer to evaluate your dog’s skill levels, and put you on the road to a certified Therapy Dog, or enable you to continue Homeowners Insurance policies with your breed dog.  CGC test dates can be requested by e-mailing, test dates are offered throughout the year at a discounted cost of $10.
